Hey Cowboy -
First off, have you been doing Testicular Self Exams? If you don't know what that is, then do some research on the net and find out quick. It would be better had you been doing them regularly, because then you could tell if there was a swelling, mass, or change in the size or shape of your testicle(s).
If you have not, then you don't have a baseline to compared against, but you might still notice something abnormal. Your testicles should be smooth and uniform ovals. They are connected so don't panic over the veins and tubes that attach them.
However, it may be nothing at all except soreness. I have experienced soreness for a few days on one side or the other. Sometimes I think it may have been caused by exercise or activity, and other times I can't find any reason. If your testicle is uncomfortable swinging free in boxers, wear briefs or even a jock strap for a few days. I think the general wisdom would be if it goes away in a few days, it was probably just a little strain or you crossed your legs while sleeping one night. If it persists more than a few days or gets worse, get straight to your urologist for an examination. I have a good friend that lost a testicle to cancer. But guess what, I still have that friend today because he found the lump in the shower one day, and was at the doctor's that afternoon. Early detection and treatment can make all the difference. Screw embarrassment. It's your health!
Best of luck to you.
