I have a raised vein running down the top of my penis. This vein has only become noticeable over the past year or so. Now I have been masturbating more frequently over this period and I wonder if this might have caused it to occur. This vein does not hurt or anything, but it is to be quite honest a bit ugly and women are always commenting about it.

Therefore I am wondering if this is anything I need to be concerned about from a health perspective, or if there is anything i can do to make it go away (ie: abstain from masturbation).

No. It's a normal part of your anatomy that has nothing to do with masturbation. Masturbation is normal too.

I agree with geoff, it is normal anatomy. Some men have large veins others less noticable. Don't worry about it and nasturbation did not cause it.

I have that big vein running halfway up my cock, too. Mine's been visible there as long as I can remember. Doesn't seem to cause any problems. It's just normal, don't worry about it.
