is this ethnic specific? - Men's Health Message Board

i was just wondering, i live in an area where there are alot of asians and other non-caucasian (except for blacks). and it got me thinking, do gynecomastia only occur in the caucasian ethnicities? although i am not exposed to black people on a regular basis, i am unsure if they are inflicted by this. from what i can SEE in websites, are white folk the only ones majorly affected by gynecomastia? also it got me thinking, if this is a genetic and hormonal occurance, how come i only hear about this in the western world? i mean i travel to asia and surrounding areas frequently and i do notice that these people don't have these. to the very few individuals i saw inflicted by this or has some breasts are those who are fat and have been exposed to american culture or exposed to the western civilization (like they have lived in the US or Canada or Europe). so it also got me thinking, can this be caused by the food we eat? i mean with all the hormones and vitamins injected into our food supply, can they be the cause of this?

I read how our food is full of antibiotics and hormones which do cause estrogen problems. I think other countries are far less exposed as they don't have huge meat producing farms as we do and eat far less meat. Most Asians eat very little beef, mostly chicken and fish and in far less quantities. 2/3 of Indians are Hindu and they don't eat meat at all! Europeans don't seem to have the obesity problem we have, they eat far less junk food. You won't find aisles and aisles of crap food in their grocery stores. Obesity itself cause hormonal problems.

Also it's hard to tell just by looking if it's just fat or true gyno unless the guy is very thin everywhere else.

We are being affected by our food. Sperm counts are drastically down from pre world war 2 levels. That's when all these chemical companies started their stuff. Cancer was very rare and now they say 1 in 3 will have it at some point. Scary. We're becoming a very sick nation.
