Question Male PC muscle

Hi Everyone,

Everywhere I look, I see the same thing: "try stopping your urine in mid-flow and you have found your pc muscle"

Well I am still having problems:

Here is how I know that I'm not doing it right; far from it:

I have read that the muscle needs to be isolated completely, otherwise it's no good.

1. When I have been doing it, my ENTIRE body clenches, never mind just the abs, thighs, etc! While clenching, even my brain feels like it's going to burst! (Is this much straining necessary?)

I have read that the thighs should not be squeezed together.

2. My thighs naturally move inwards for each clench, otherwise, I cannot feel that I am doing any clenching at all!

I have read that you need to breathe normally and not let the clenching affect your breathing.

3. I am finding this very diffcult to do also. My breath naturally changes pattern to reflect clenching and releasing.

I have read that you could do these exercises at anytime, while driving, on the train etc, without anyone knowing.

4. Firstly, I find that I need 100% FULL concentration on clenching, and even then I feel that some clenches have not squeezed anything at all. I cannot even use the computer's mouse while clenching. After all, trying to control one pc is hard enough, but trying to control two is out of the question! Secondly, everyone would think that I was suffering from constipation if I tried it in public; it is so obvious by my straining and trying to concentrate.

As you can see, I am doing EVERYTHING wrong, but I could only do it right if I knew how! I have been doing it for months and even years (on and off) so I don't think you automatically start doing it right if done long enough. I think it needs to be learnt outright first.

How on Earth will I ever be able to isolate the correct muscle?!

How will I ever be able to get the 4 things metioned above right?!

Thanks so much.

It's really not that hard. Sit on the toilet and start urinating. Then stop the flow. Do you really have to strain that hard to stop the flow???? I can't believe it that hard.

That's not true - as you get better you may be able to isolate more, but it' still good to keep working at it.
If you can stop the flow, you know you ahve identified the muscle

"1. When I have been doing it, my ENTIRE body clenches, never mind just the abs, thighs, etc! While clenching, even my brain feels like it's going to burst! (Is this much straining necessary?"

No, I would try stopping the flow when you are standing up peeing, just be sure to wipe up ! Does you whole body clench up when you do a BM ?

"I have read that you need to breathe normally and not let the clenching affect your breathing"

I think you need to move toward isolating it -
In some Tantra exercises, you can EXHALE while you clench. In many exercises, you EXHALE on the stress, so intuitive this makes sense, and may help.

You might want to do a google search for a tantra center nearby, and see if you can get a coach, or if there is a yoga teacher in your area, they may be more than happy to coach you.

The other thing is to do it in from of a mirror, (without peeing) your penis should move. Then you can associate the feeling.

Wait, this is interesting me. What is a PC muscle, and what are you talking about clenching and everything? Why would you want to stop peeing right in the middle? That sucks.

Elfman, look up Kegels (PC exercises for men). You'll then know what we're talking about.
