Question Scars on penis? Very sore.

Please let me know your thoughts...my partner is suffering from white scars all around the top of his penis. Look like incisions around the helmet of his penis and pulling back the foreskin is very painful. Intercourse is very painful for him and his penis gets very hot around the scars. They open and bleed then re-scar over white. Experiencing this for 2 years. Any ideas?

Re: Scars on penis? Very sore.

This fits the description of a chronic yeast infection. You both need to be treated.
Left untreated, the scarring will lead to a foreskin which cannot retract. Scar tissue is less elastic than skin. If it is yeast, it is easily cured with canesten.

Re: Scars on penis? Very sore.

Hello. Thank you for your messages. We did try yeast cream before but it made no difference. It was mentioned before that he may need surgery to remove part of the foreskin???

Re: Scars on penis? Very sore.

He needs to get a second opinion. Doctors are far too quick to recommend surgery, for things which can be solved by simpler means. Find a conservative doctor, who acknowledges the value of him keeping his foreskin.
First, he needs to find out if this is a persistent yeast infection, or something else.
Once the infection is over, he could try a prescription of betamethasone cream, to thin the skin. He could get a speculum, and insert it into the tip of his foreskin, and stretch it that way. If none of these things worked, a nick in the foreskin should free it.
