circumsion - keep the frenulum? - Men's Health Message Board

I'm curious. When you have a circumsion, what are the advantages and disadvantages of keeping/losing the frenulum? I may have to make this decision myself in a few weeks and I have no knowledge on the subject.

The frenulum is sensitive making it more pleasurable, but the frenulum could become tight making it a bit painful, i kept mine after circumcision and i have no problems, its just fine.

why are you thinking about a circumcision?
if it's a physical problem, have you tried all the other possibilities, like stretching daily for a couple of months, using betamethasone cream to loosen a tight frenar band, or a dorsal slit operation?
there is nothing that circumcision fixes, that can't be fixed easier and with less damage by one of the other three methods.

The frenulum is tremendously sensitive, and is one of the most sensitive parts of the penis, besides the glans. I'm circumcised, and am fortunate to have a tiny piece of frenulum left on the underside of my penis, and I can definitely say it is by far the most pleasurable part of my penis. With just one finger lightly rubbing the frenulum, I can reach incredible orgasm.

So my advice, make sure you keep your frenulum!

Thanks for the feedback. So its probably best to keep the frenulum? Is it a major disadvantage to lose it (with the added pleasure/sensitivity)?

oh yeah and tommy124, I've been wrestling with this problem for a while, tried various techniques, so I'm just opting for the easy way out and get it out of the way.
