Painfull Lump - Men's Health Message Board

Five years ago i was diagnosed with a benign cyst around my testicle. Not sure if it was the left or right but anyhow it was considered common and nothing to worry about, which brings up my question.
I have a lump on the top portion it seems on the left testicle. It is painfull and visible. It's on the inside of the scrotum. I just had a doctor look at it and he said it was "fine" and not to worry. Could be a spermatocele or slighlty inflammed epidymas or whatever....the pain does respond to ibuprfen very well.I felt as though this pain started when i recently ejaculated. It was right after that when i started to feel some pain....Does this sound familiar to anyone ? And if it does how long before it subsided and what did you do about it....Thnks

I had very similar or even the same problems than you.
In my case it was a vericose vein in my left testicle, and when ever the blood flow increases, like after sex or exercise the testicle overheats. You should best check with a urologist and if it is a vericose vein it is usually not neccesary to get it removed, but I will remove mine as it is very irritating pains. The process of removing it is very simple and only requires 1 day in hospital and there wont be any scalpels near him!
