Bumps On Penis - Men's Health Message Board

Hi,
I am a 17 year old male. About 2 years ago before i had any sexual contact i started to notice that i was starting to get small little bumps on the shaft of my penis with white tips (some of which hair is growing out of). Also at the same time i was also noticing bumps on my sack (also where some hair is growing out of too).

I have researched this and heard that this might just be glands and is normal. If this is correct is there any way to get rid of the bumps (ie moisturizer)?? or if this is not correct what can this be?

They are just glands and hair folicles visible because the skin is so thin there. They are totally natural and there is nothing you can do to remove them. Everyone has them but you have to get fairly close to notice them. A sexual partner is unkikely even to see them but if they did they are going to notice them on any male they have sex with. Remember, EVERYONE of us has them. As Lance says they are part of the equipment.

I'm your age as well, uptown2, and I noticed them years ago as well. They are under the penis between where the hair stops to below the head, and not scattered. Mine are to the left only. Its strange because I'm told they're hair follicles with no hair growing out of them. But there are similar bumbs to where there is hair on the scrotum. I've also been told there is nothing to do about it, but I think you agree with me in not wanting them there at all. The ones on the scrotum are not noticable and I'm not worried about them, but I am worried about the ones on the shaft.

ok, i have these as well (im 16) but some of mine can be squeezed to have a little bit of white, almost solid stuff come out (think of when u squeeze a blackhead). this only works on some of them, mostly the ones on the shaft, but im really relieved to find out the rest arent herpes or something. any ideas on what the squeezable ones are? just a bit of acne on the.. uh.. sacky? clever, huh?

What you're describing sounds just like pubic hair follicles to me. Occaisionally they'll resemble a pimple and will produce a bit of whitish substance. Nothing to worry about, all of us have them from time to time.
