plz help.. odd rash on chest that grows hair..... - Men's Health Message Board

um, hi.. I have some sort of strange hair growth on the right side of my chest, but not on the left.. it looks like a thick beard, about 1/2 an inch long.. its dark black and rather ugly.. there is also a large rash like thing, the hair is only where the rash is, I dont remember if Ive always had the rash thing but I do remember that I had the rash before I had the hair. the hair only grows where the rash thing is.. its not really a rash its more of a patch of skin thats more redish than the rest of my skin.. its on the upper right side of my chest.. and I want to get rid of it.. I shaved it once and it just grew back darker, im not sure if thats because I shaved it or if it was going to get darker anyway but that was enough to keep me from shaving it again..

anyone know what this is or how I can get rid of it? any info would be great, I really dont want to have to go to a doctor over this..

So about this rash...Is it above or below a nipple?
It could be a superflous nipple, or most likely just a growth. I know a two year old girl who has a growth like yours, except it's on her forehead! Poor girl... I think you can get something like that removed though, but I'm not sure.

its above.. its about 1 foot by 1 foot so I doubt that its a nipple :S
