Epididymitis continuous problem - Men's Health Message Board

I was experiencing a sharp pain on my right side, like I was kicked in the balls. The pain was unbareable and I was eventually diagnosed with Epididymitis possibly sexually transmited. I have been taking an antibiotic (Leveclin or something). The pain isn't as severe but I still feel some minor pain here an there and it hasn't fully vanished, contrary to what the doctor said. (It's been 13 days since i started the antibiotic). Anyone have any suggestions?

Also I always use protected sex, i know there is still a chance of transmission but what are the odds that i recieved Epididymitis sexually?

Epidymitis is often the result of untreated chlamydia, but it can be caused by other things, so even virgin males can suffer from it.

Levaquin is a good antibiotic for epidymitis (it is simliar to Cipro) and it should clear things up. However, if you have been suffering for a while, there may be some damage down there that will take a while to heal completely. Give it a month or two to clear up, and you should be fine. If not, see a urologist.
