Little zit on my penis. Please help! - Men's Health Message Board

I've had this little whitehead on my shaft that won't go away. I can drain the thing, thought painfully and not as easily as typical whitehead, but it just keeps growing back.

I've tried drying it out with an alcohol soaked Q-tip about 4 times a day for more than a week. No change.

Can anyone please give me a clue if this is normal and how I can get rid of this thing!?

i had one of those zits on my shaft. the first time it appeared, i just popped it because i wasnt too worried about it leaving a scar down there. the thing grew back though and it really hurt as it grew back i left it alone this time though, and it seemed to have popped or something in my boxers because when i checked, the white head had gone. the zit kept growing back a few times and i could never get rid of it but eventually, it stopped comming back and now i just have a faded red mark on the shaft where it used to grow (the red mark is un noticeable)..........
i dont know how it came or why it kept growing back, but it has stopped now and i havnt seen it grow for ages... ( i am 15 yrs old by the way)

Sounds to me like a sebaceous cyst. Had one myself, it's mainly just a cosmetic problem though. They do not develop into cancer, though they can get infected (It'll turn red and tender if it does). Does a white, "cheesy" material come out when drained? If so that's probably what it is. The whole sac has to be removed though, it can't just be popped; that can usually be performed by a physician.

Comrade, thanks, I think you nailed it. Yes a "cheesy" material does come out when drained. It is shrinking quite a bit by applying alcohol to it and the smaller it gets, it kind of looks like there's a tiny blackhead or dimple in the middle of it...it's so small it's hard to tell. I've had little blackheads down there also but I've been able to scrape them off. I've never really worried about this thing being a danger like cancer or anything, it's just annoying. I **really** don't want to go to a physician for this. Do you think I'll be successful in drying it out with an alcohol soaked Q-tip several times a day?

Seems like i got the same thing but on my nuts only one i just poped it a fewdays ago and it the white stuff was kinda hard and smelly and had a lil dot in the middle of it, I think it makes my nuts itch alot hopfully it wont come back it has been on there for about 5months our more.
