i am an uncircumcised male. when i was very young, i dont remember exactly i think somewhere b/w 3-5 years old, i had what some may call a freak accident. i tore open my scrotum and had to have surgery to get it sewn back up. i still have a visible scar that runs from my scrotum all the way up to the tip of my foreskin. i have just started getting involved sexually for the first time. to my displeasure, i found it quite painful when i could not retract my foreskin while erect. i discovered that this can be normal for most uncircumcised males, and i read that some stretching could do the trick. i've done some stretching for aboout 4-5 days now, and i see a little improvement in retraction-however, i still cannot retract my foreskin while my penis is completely erect. how serious is this and does it have anything to do w/ my accident when i was younger? is there any hope for me without having to have to have surgery??

it sounds like this has nothing to do with your injury.

put your little fingers in the foreskin opening
gently pull them apart
hold it for as long as you can
do this several times a day
in six to eight weeks, you should be able to retract when erect

all males have what looks like a scar, going from their anus, between their testicles, and up the underside of the penis. that is normal. I'm not quite sure if you are mistaking that, for the scar from your injury.

I don't think the two are related,do a search on these boards for foreskin stretching. Good luck and be patient follow the different threads for the technique that suits your needs best.
