Pain/Swelling in Right Testicle - Men's Health Message Board

Hi, I'm a 14 year old male. I masturbate frequently, and one day I just felt this terrible pain in my right testicle and I had to stop masturbating that day. When I looked at it, it was basically twice the size of the left one. The pain subsided after about 3 days, but the testicle is still larger, hangs much lower than the left one, and causes pain every now and then. I don't feel any tumor-like growths or anything, and I'm very hesitant to go to the doctor. Does anyone know how I can fix this (swelling) at home? What medicines to take or what I can physcially do? Thanks.

It's very normal for one testicle to be bigger and to one to hang lower. It's also normal for testicles to cause a bit of pain, especially when they are growing like yours are. Since the swelling has mostly gone away along with the pain, I would say you are doing just fine and don't need to see a doctor. Keep an eye on it, as I'm sure you will, and if things get lots worse then have it checked out. But, I think things as you described them are normal.

the swelling is still around, you see it when im erect...because one hangs real low, and its twice as big...and ocasionally i feel pain, the pain goes slightly upward and stays on the right side. do you know a way i can fix it? would not masturbating for a period of time reduce it back to normal? thank you.
