Masturbation > Spots? - Men's Health Message Board

hi,
This is a question that has been in my head for a while and it is on the subject of spots/acne, but I thought it would be more suited to men's health!

I was wondering, as I regularly masturbate, would I maybe get less spots if I didn't masturbate? I know most guys won't be able to answer this question because, like me, you probably can't give masturbation up to find out the answer!

I have had spots since I have started puberty, but every now and then I get a worse outbreak and I totally hate it. If I could maybe link masturbation to acne at all, then I would consider giving up masturbation but I don't want to struggle to give up, if in the end, I don't get any results!

How do you know that skateboarding is not responsible for your acne? (j/k)

I doubt there's any connection between masturbation and acne. Acne in teens is due to the raging hormones of puberty I belive. Whether or not you whack it makes no difference. If it did, I'd still be a pizza-faced adult!

I still get the occasional pimple or two, but there's no way I'm gonna stop my business just to see if my acne goes away!

Nope.....acne isn't related to one's masturbating habits.

To lessen acne drink lots of water, at least 2 liters a day. It cleans out your system so the crap goes out with your urnie instead of out of your face.
