White/milky substance growing on pubic hair around testicles - Men's Health Message Board

About a month ago, after no sexual activity, I have been experiencing a weird almost growth on my pubic hair around and on the testicles. It seems as if sweat is sticking to the pubic hairs and growing on them. I can actually see the thickness of this stuff because on each individual pubic hair, the thickness of it varies. I am unable to get this stuff off with soap and even light scrubbing and it also has a very strong smell, which still exists even after I wash the area thoroughly.

I am at a complete loss for what this may be. I did recently move to a more wet climate - from northern California to southern California - and I do get more sweaty down here. Could it just be a case of extreme wetness in the area?

How long do you let your hairs get? I used to never shave them, and I would sweat a lot down there. Now I trim them with scissors (sometimes an electric beard trimmer too) and I find that I don't sweat as much. Not only that, but it's much more clean and comfortable. I usually get all of my hairs in the area to around 1 cm.

You know what actually lately I have been shaving. I actually shaved and even plucked a couple of times because I thought that would solve the problem, but it didn't. Maybe I missed a few hairs! It doesn't happen with every single hair but it does happen to quite a few. Such a weird problem. Thanks for the suggestion though, and any more replies would be greatly appreciated (seeing the GF in a couple of days)!

dude you should see a DR about it. Have you had sex with anyone latley? Does it itch if it does could be Crabs they lay their eggs on the hair shaft and burrow into hair folicles not to scare ya but get checked out.

Curtdude, no I haven't had sex with anyone lately. Infact, I am still a virgin. And no it does not itch down there. I don't really know much about crabs, but I don't believe that that is what it is. Really it just SEEMS to me that it's almost like sweat that is building up and drying on there. I can try really hard to get it off of an idividual hair, and I do get a little bit off sometimes and it smells really musky.

Anyone else know what this could possibly be and what I could do for it?
