Pressure in top of my head, liquid running to ears feeling.. Light in my peripheral

"I'm an eighteen year old natural bodybuilder, young and in shape, with a good medical history, no allergies, medication ect.

I will preface this by saying that for almost a year I have been seeing a white bead of light moving generally from down to up over four seconds in my peripheral vision. I went to several specialists on this and nothing is wrong with my eyes that was notable to them, they seemed very unconcerned. Around four years ago I had very severe migraines and ultimately went on the god awful midren for a short time before deciding that it was worse than enduring them. I also have a slight bump in my skull which I have been told is fairly normal, though on occasion I get a slight headache emanating from it, though nothing drastic at all.

Despite getting anxious maybe once or twice over this it's been fairly minor and not a big deal... However the other night I was driving my friend home, and mid sentence suddenly I felt the weirdest feeling, a liquidy flowing feeling connected both my ears to this spot on my head( I cannot remember if it felt like it was flowing down or up as I was taken by surprise). I then got what I could best say felt like a head rush though that may have been because of adrenaline from the surprise, and what I can best describe as pressure on the top of my head(not on the bump, but a little further to the left dead in the middle at the very top of my skull.).

I felt it very intensely until I finally fell asleep and have felt it all of today, albeit to a seemingly lesser degree. The liquid feeling has not recurred. I am trying to be calm( I feel a little thirsty despite being drinking frequently, though perhaps it's just from worrying a bit).

I am mainly concerned if this sounds like something that could be doing permanent damage, needs to be checked out ect. I know the brain can't feel things itself as it has no nerves, so I don't know what the liquid feeling was. I am very familiar with how anxiety affects things, but this has been a post without any anxiety inspire comments. It's probably important to note the pressure does not hurt at all, it's just an awkward pressure, and at the worst is distracting and makes falling asleep difficult.

Please let me know any opinions on the matter and thank you VERY much."

The previous is a copy and paste of something I posted a few days ago on a less active and unhelpful forum. Since writing that, I still have not felt the liquid feeling again. As always the light in my right eye has appeared, and the pressure(which started a week ago) has persisted, though it is less function impairing and I have slept, albeit not ideal. The pressure is not as overpowering as in the first two days, though it certainly is still there and some moments worse than others. My ears for a lack of a better word, feel congested a bit, which they only have since the pressure started. My body feels weaker, especially my legs though it could be from recovering from my workouts, just not doing so very well due to the lack of sleep the pressure has caused.

This has been a rather troublesome issue, and I really hope someone can give me some insight, because I am at an utter loss!

Re: Pressure in top of my head, liquid running to ears feeling.. Light in my peripher

Please someone, help me, these last months have been the worst. These are updates since last posting here.

I visited my disinterested Primary care physician and explained my symptoms again, though he did not think it was anything serious. A few days after my left lymph node expanded and I had a very sore throat and low grade fever. After three days it shrunk down and became hard, which it has remained for a month. During the time I had the sore throat pressure primarily subsided, however days later it returned and has stuck with me. The fatigue I experience is MUCH less than before, and the pressure different in nature. When I wake up I feel normal, however in less than a half hour the pressure arrives in my upper neck/head and increases monumentally as the day carries on, and by the end of it it's hard to fall asleep without melatonin, generally taking three hours. The light in my peripheral is still there, though not as pronounced(though on one occasion it manifested as a frightening flash). There is a slight crick in my neck. I can still go to the gym, but as the day progresses it is much harder to operate, and sometime as I walk, my feet against the ground feels odd and like the room is pounding and I am going to collapse. I have had a rash develop as well, though it could be from the weather, it is a few clustered white bumps, very small ones, that are dry. It has occurred in two places on my right arm, on my back, right pec, near my belly button, and in small scale seems to be on my penis, though of course this could easily be unrelated.

Please I implore anyone who can help to do so, I am miserable and utterly helpless!

Kevie,

I certainly sympathise with you. It sounds miserable. I have two questons, or suggestions. First, have you seen an ENT? Your presssure and woziness could be ear related. It might be worth checking into.

Also, have you had your eyes checked by an eye doctor? Not your local optomitrist, but an opthomologist. You have but one set of eyes. Go and see why you are seeing that flash of light. There is a reason for it..make sure that your eyes are ok.

good luck...

Re: Pressure in top of my head, liquid running to ears feeling.. Light in my peripher

I have only seen my primary care physician, and two eye doctors, one being the specialist you mentioned. My eyes are fine, peripheral vision tests fine, everything. I do need glasses and have visual snow as some call it.

In the last few days the pressure has finally subsided to a degree. I feel tired and bad still, I'm not sure if this is emphasized by the fact that the pressure is less and I am simply realizing it more. Though there are random stabs of pain near my temples, and a few times, a scary and intense pressure. I scheduled an appointment with a neurologist finally... Though I can only expect the worst based on my symptoms I am quite calm and simply hope whatever it is can be fixed and does not cut my years short... So basically, cancer.

I wanted to post back saying that this cleared up after MANY months of being completely out of it. Man just reading the way I typed here really shows how out of it I was. Thank you to the one person who responded but I am still curious what could have caused this? The liquid rush in my head is the primary weird thing, considering it set everything into motion. Was easily the worst time of my life, after all tests were done, MRI, EKG, CAT scan nothing could be find which was comforting and also a little weird, since I am left totally unaware as to what took me out of it.
