| sore head of penis
hello, ok i have never told this story but here goes...my question involves the head of my penis (embarrassing)ill start from the beginning...during my early teens (november 2000 i was 16) when i first discovered masturbation i used to use the rough side of a sponge to relieve myself, god knows why, i was young and stupid. i would rub it across the head of the penis although i never broke the skin. after a while the tip became extremely sore (ok it was constant agony) and after 10 months i finally plucked up the courage to see a doctor. after numerous visits i was prescribed a cream called timodine....after just one application it was heaven...10 months of hell were over (sounds dramatic i know but when you're suffering....) the pain in the tip vaninshed over night, i was left with an annoying little pain around the head funnily enough the area exactly where the foreskin covered but this was nothing compared to what i had gone through. from november 2001 to around march 2003 i had lived with this pain then all of a sudden it vanished, THANK GOD, the head of my penis was pain free for the first time in 3 years, my ordeal was over. For 2 years nothing, then in 2005 i had the most minor thing happen, i pulled my trousers up a little too hard knocked my penis ever so lightly and the pain around the head returned, the best i can describe it is its like where the foreskin goes around but its on the bell end. I once again visited the doctor and he told me it was a fungal infection, and nothing serious, he prescribed me with canesten hydrocortisone....Instant relief. symptoms then faded and died, fast forward 4 years without any pain what so ever, well the occassional discomfort if id knocked myself that usually lasted about 8 weeks then it goes. then november 2009 i was having a lye in, not a care in the world and my dog jumps on my bed, whacks my penis and that very afternoon the pain returns to the head of my penis. it has been sore since then, its now february 10th, i bought some canesten thrush cream and it offers me relief which leads me to believe that im on the right track, hasnt quite healed me although i never applied it like it says to on the tube, i applied it and when the symptoms seemed to die down... i would cease using. I would just like your opinion on what you think it is, if my GP has it right when he says it’s a fungal infection. I think its important you know that this never just comes on by itself, theres always a trauma I can link it too like a bump, for example pulling trousers up too hard or as I described earlier dog jumping on me and knocking it. The pain on the tip never returned, its just the pain/discomfort around the head precisely where the foreskin covers I need help with. Thanks for reading.
