Urinating/semen

I am a healthy 22 year old male who has no major health problems. Yesterday after urinating, I felt like I still had excess urine inside. When it finally came out, it was a steady stream of semen that lasted about 5-10 seconds. It was just like I was urinating normally, just no urine. Has anyone else ever experienced this before?

Re: Urinating/semen

Can't say that I've ever heard of that before but it doesn't sound serious. It sounds as if you simply ejaculated without having an orgasm. You probably were just overloaded with semen and it discharged. Kind of like having a wet dream.

Re: Urinating/semen

If this is true you need to see the doctor this should not happen.
Your body has a valve to keep the two apart if this valve is broke or week or you may have a infection thats screws it up.

Re: Urinating/semen

Like I said on the other board, it sounds like he has an STD. Go see a doctor.

Re: Urinating/semen

This is in reply to StaceyK. I am 100% sure that my symptoms were NOT caused by an STD. However, I cannot speak for your husband. I really don't think it is anything serious, I have just never heard of this before. What symptoms did your husband experience???

Re: Urinating/semen

Hey there thanks for the reply. And I didnt think it was a STD either. Kind of impossible for it to be one anyways. Because we are perfectly healthy. And married <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif"> But im not doctor either. But he had the exact same symptoms you described. Nothing else besides what you described. It only happened twice so far. Did you go to the doctors, or find out anything that itmay be? STD just doesnt seem like a possibility to me right now.

Re: Urinating/semen

Hey Stacey K,

I have decided not to see a doctor at this point. For the past 3 days, the symptoms have gone away about as quickly as they appeared with the exception of a drop or two. I think as long as there was no pain involved, then there is nothing to worry about. I was just concerned when this happened, it really caught me off guard. A normal guy does not expect a sudden "gush" when he is trying to go to the bathroom! How much 'volume' did your husband experience???

Re: Urinating/semen

After almost 14 days since my last post and no changes I have begun to have the same symptoms as I described in my first post. I was wondering if anyone who had responded has seen a doctor and what the outcome was. I have a scheduled appt. but it isn't for another month. I am curious as to whether I will ever stop doing this or if I should get used to allowing a little extra time to go to the bathroom.

PLEASE SEE A DOCTOR. If it is something serios, it is best to take care of it now.

Re: Urinating/semen

I had this happen to me once and it did freak me out. No, it is impossible to urinate and ejaculate at the same time. But what you describe is not that and it was exactly what happened to me. I suspect that it's just a release of semen, who knows whether there was more than needed or what. But we know that the sphincter muscle (used to control urination) is also part of the ejaculatory process. So, sorta makes sense that this could happen. I think I'd consult if its a re-occuring issue, otherwise I don't see it as a real health concern!
