Low Testosterone for my Age?

Hello everyone.
I'm 17 Years old and i believe i have Low Testosterone.

I wonder this because i workout pretty much everyday with my friend and my Results are very slow.
My Diet and Training is Correct, I train with my friend who uses the exact same routines as me and he seems to grow but not me.

I have a endo/meso body type and i am not skinny or lanky but i do have a under-active thyroid. (I take oroxine 50mcg)
I have tried bulking methods, Personal training, less training, more training and i do not seem to grow.
I could talk about it all day.
Just getting sick of this dedication i put in and not getting anything out of it.
I have lost 45kg of fat, but i cannot seem to build muscle.

My Blood Test Results:

Iron Studies
Iron 35* umol/L (5-30)
Transferrin 40 umol/L 25-44)

I would appreciate all the help i can get because i don't want to confront my doctor looking like i know more then him.
He said my Testosterone levels are "through the roof"

Was he joking??

"There is good evidence that testosterone supplementation works best in men with low initial serum testosterone concentrations below 12 nmol/L"

7 is pretty low for a young guy, I believe the normal range is 14-20. A 17 year old should be closer to 20+

He should have tested LH and FSH too, it helps determine the origin of the low testosterone.

Do you have normal libido and erections as well as morning wood?

Nah he wasn't joking
I tried to have sex once but i couldn't get an erection, i don't know if it was nervousness or not.
I seem to get erections ok but they are not very hard.
Morning wood only when i need to pee
I feel very lethargic and depressed all the time, Apparently it was my thyroid but the tablets don't seem to be working at all.

Re: Low Testosterone for my Age?

If he wasn't joking, then he is an idiot and you need a new doctor. You have symptoms of low T and the numbers are low. What more evidence does he need?

Your T4 should also be in the top 1/4, not the bottom. If your doctor didn't know that, then he needs to be fired. Especially when you have symptoms of low thyroid as well.

Time to see an endocrinologist because you have more than one hormone problem and that alone is suspicious.

I have booked a new doctor for tomorrow.
Do i need a doctor for my T-Levels or a Endocrinologist?
I am going to take my blood test results and show him/her, and i am going to mention that i have asked around about my T-levels and everyone has said that its low.

Going to say that i feel depressed, lethargic, I don't want to mention that i soft erections in front of my mother..
My Thyroid has been checked out, and i do take oroxine for it at 50cmg.. but i refused to take anymore with low testosterone because i believe i will become Catabolic.

Re: Low Testosterone for my Age?

I went to see a new doctor today, to be honest.. from the looks of him he didn't look like he knew what he was talking about.

He said to me my free testosterone is normal and he is making me do another blood test to check TFTS, Testosterone, SHBG, FTI
( i have been told Free testosterone is usually 200+ )

Anyway, i am going for a blood test tomorrow in the morning about 9:30am and i wont have the results untill Tuesday-Friday

Any Suggestions? I am sick of doctors pushing me over.
Should i go and see a specialist instead of a normal doctor?

I have taken the Request Form and written with a pen that i want these tests done:
- SHBG
-LH
-FSH
-E2
-Corisol
-TSH
-Free T3
-Free T4
-rT3
-Anti Thyroid Peroxidase
-Anti-Thyroglobulin
-Ferritin
-Iron
-Iodine
-Vitamin B12
-Serum Folate
-Cholestrol
-Glucose Levels
-CRP

Re: Low Testosterone for my Age?

So i went and saw another doctor today, he was a really nice guy.
I told him the truth and said i don't have a sex drive, and i told him i am a little depressed and constantly think about doing myself in.

I also mention that i have a hyperthyroidism and i said it helped but it didn't make my sex drive work again and didn't make me un-depressed.

He got on it straight away and said to get these tests done Tomorrow
-THTS
-Cortisol
-Iron
-Ferritin
-B12
-Folate
-SHBG
-Free Androgen index

Hopefully this guy gets me some help out of this!

Re: Low Testosterone for my Age?

I started puberty at the start of 15
For some reason is very slow.
I have public hair and pimples.. but i didn't have any underarm hair or body hair.. and still don't.
I have no hair on my arms, and i used to get asked frequently if i shaved my legs.

My brother and I are very similar
He is just a bigger version of me and more hairy
He never had this issue, just me

Re: Low Testosterone for my Age?

Unfortunately, those new numbers look fine, 22 T is in the upper range. Since your last test was so low, I would go back in a month and repeat the test (make sure its a morning test before 9am).

Do you have pubic and arm pit hair?

Re: Low Testosterone for my Age?

I have heaps of Pubic hair, i have to trim
I didn't start grow arm pit hair untill last year.. people 2 years younger then me had armpit hair before me.
I feel like a girl having low test..

I have to admit, i have using steroids.
Why? My Test levels are to LOW for my age, i am nearly 18.. This age i should have a way higher amount of testosterone.
I didn't use Testosterone injections, just synthetic versions of synthetic testosterone "derivatives " like EQ/Winstrol/Primobolan
I'm in my last few weeks of the cycle now and i have PCT ready to go, hopefully nolvadex will raise my natural testosterone levels up good.

My Results were still pretty shocking considering i was on cycle, i am going to go all out next time if the HRT doctors doesn't help me out.

My Test levels are 22.1, 700 while on steroids.. that's still pretty low considering i am currently on my last weeks of a cycle.

I need to book an appointment with a specialist and show him my Testosterone results before and after i used steroids
(7, 170) - (22, 700)

I have told my mother about my issues and she thinks that the doctor "is smarter then me" and he knows better then me..
the doctor stating that my testosterone was "through the roof" at 7.4, 174 free test has made my mother think i am attention seeking..
She gets ****** off running around after me taking me to the doctors because she thinks i am just wasting time.. She has a go at me because of it.

I have been to 3doctors and they keep pushing me off because they don't know what the hell they are talking about.

I need to go see a "Endocrinologist" is that correct?
-I will tell him about my hypothyroidism (i need to increase the dosages and i think i might be resistant to the tablets)
-Should i tell him i used steroids??
-Will he have a go at me because i used steroids at such a young age?
-What if he blows me off and does nothing for me.. ?

Should i give him this link to this website to show everything that i have discussed?

Its makes me so angry that my mother/doctors are just pushing me over..
And because my age, my mother still has responsibility for me.. The doctors probably don't listen to a word i say

Re: Low Testosterone for my Age?

Tell your doctor about the steroids. They make your body stop producing your own Testosterone. Which is exactly what you don't want.
