Sensitive tip of penis

A couple weeks ago, the tip of my penis became unusually sensitive. The discomfort is focused on the nerve under the urethral opening. It doesn't hurt really, although it can be rather irritating, and I try to wear my undies loose to avoid brushing it. Urination doesn't hurt, thank God (in fact it has a calming effect).

Normally I would just forget about this & wait for it to go away, but the problem is, it won't go away. It started 3 weeks ago, then disappeared for a week, then came back. I've had it again for about 9 days.

One thing I noticed: the first time it struck, I'd had a bubble bath the night before. Then, the next time I took a bubble bath, it came back again the next day. Coincidence? Is there something in the soap that irritates penile nerves?

Anyone else had such a problem? How did you deal with it? Thanks in advance for any serious answers.

Re: Sensitive tip of penis

Update. The above-described pain disappeared last October, shortly after I posted. However, it came back a little while ago. I've had it for about 10 days.

This time, I didn't take a bubble bath. So I can't blame it on that. I'm mystified.
