Need help from those who know about/used Androgel 1.62

Im 21

Ive been taking androgel 1.62 for almost two weeks now,and when i touched my testicles tonight they felt softer than usual. I understand this is normal with T replacement.

The reason im taking this is because i went to a doctor who said i had something called gynecomastia , she referred me to a endocrinologist . after blood work my test showed

My question(s)

How long does one have to take this before their testicles shut down?
Will this shrink my penis? , and if so if i stop the medicine will the size come back?
Does this really work for gynecomastia? or should i just do surgery?

Re: Need help from those who know about/used Androgel 1.62

First throwing androgel at the issue is a big mistake by any doc without first doing exhaustive lab work to dry to determine the underlying cause. Kinda like saying "wow you have a growth there....we better give you some chemo"

Soon as you go on it.....labs afterward aren't worth a damn. Doctor should have referred you to a knowledgeable doc and let him test and disgnosis prior to just throwing a single med at you.

Reality is most docs, including most endo's know very little about TRT so you really need to find a doc who is an expert in field if you want good results.

Now your questions.....

Testicle shut down....varies but usually about 1-3 months....shrinkage about a year

Penis shrinkage.....no it will actually help keep the low T from causing the shrinkage.....it helps not hurts.

Gyno.....not so sure should help it from getting worse but may not shrink what has happened

Good luck this is a tough issue and it needs a really great doc to fix it.....improper treatment can do more harm than good.
