Low Testosterone-hmm didn't know I was tired all the time till I wasn't.

I signed up for a medical study for Low testosterone. I'm 55 and it's 259 (i.e. I'm not 90 years old which is what a 90 year old would have)

What I find interesting is after being dosed (intranasal gel) after two days what I noticed was, "holy cow, I'm not exhausted and I'm awake". Now that was an odd revelation.

I had signed up for the study for my slowly sinking sex drive... and again I didn't know whether it was Low T or just being 55. (c'mon..I've never been my age before)

What I get in this study is intense follow up. Bone scan, blood work and yes the obligatory "fickle finger of fate" every six weeks to check my prostate. At some point I go in for 24 hour monitoring.. (uh this is a study after all)

But reading some other entries on "it took days to get relief", this has been quite a revelation. I don't know what options I have after this study is over but I will at least have solid blood work over time which may help my mildly clueless GP.

Oh they pay me too... is there a down side

(oh and below my waist is starting to wake up... all quite interesting)

Well the study continues and interestingly enough I had the wrong initial T level. It was 195 not 259.. (I have no idea how much statistically that was different but there you go)

So post anabol nasal supplementation in this study it's in the 580 range. Things are working and based on my reading of other charts that seems more appropriate. Now the "gee hope someone answers this post"... sooner or later I'm going to be off this study and have to take T some other way. Obviously now I know something I did not know before.. i.e. a T level that works for me and makes me feel decent.

What else is out there and the usual pro/con's.
