LOW T and its treatments

Hello

New to the board but definitely not new to urologists or endocrinologists in Boston.

Started on Clomid in March 2010(25mg -3 times a week) with total test at 395 and free at 180.SHBG at 53 and E2 at 22. Prolactin,LH and FSH all middle of "normal" ranges.

Clomid raised my total test to 700 after 3 months of use but also raised my E2 to over 40.Urologist put me on anastrozole -@1mg 3 times a week.Started to become a raging lunatic on the dose.Angry one minute, upset and with no confidence the next minute.

Now after 2 + years and 2 urologists --3 different endo's .I finally am at my wit's end. This roller coaster ride is ruining my marriage,my work and my concentration is at an all time low.

No confidence at all in life or in the bedroom.Anxiety now taking over.Doctor just prescribes ativan and says its normal to feel anxious but I've never had anxiety ever until this treatment for LOW T.

My current treatment now ,the DR. has ended the anastrozole completely and I have no libido.no nocturnal erections and still has me taking 25 mg of clomid 3 times a week which is now driving my E2 level back up.

Do all 'conventional " doctors just give you this "broad brush" approach or does anyone know a good endo or urologist in Boston that uses an anti-aging approach like--250 mg of HCG weekly with 100 IU of Test cyp w/ anastrozole.I've heard from anti aging doctors using this formula and it seems to cover all the bases.

The only approach is to see an anti-aging DR. and boy are they expensive.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Re: LOW T and its treatments

Boston

Your story sounds like mine.....same symptoms, life issues, marriage issues etc. I feel for you.....been there done it.

I live 200 miles north of Boston.....when I first was diagnosis with T issues.......I was referred to an Endo in Boston area. Great credentials etc. he did same put me on clomid and said see you in six months! Guy was semi-retired and hard to see.....appts were months apart and results were poor at best.

Frustrated and desperate I went 1500 miles west to a Anti-Aging Doc......one of best in country. What a difference! I speak with him monthly, have monthly labs and a year plus later I am feeling much better. No he doesn't take insurance but labs locally are paid and so are most meds. The cost is well worth it.

No don't know anyone in new England I can refer too.....if did I would be there.....but trip for me was well worth it.

Need some help ask.....
