Unhappy Sharp pain during sex

Is it normal for a girl to still feel a little bit of pain when she has sex me and my boyfriend were having sex and I felt like a sharp pain and I got kinda worried that something might be wrong and I can't go to my doctor because I'm a teen and my dad doesn't know I'm sexually active. so I don't really know what do to this is the first time it has happened and I only lost my virginity in July so I'm not really sure if it's suppose to happen or not what should I do about it?

Re: Sharp pain during sex

Hello Babigurl57, yes it is normal for women and even men can have the same experience as well. Pain can occur in the pelvic area during or soon after sexual intercourse. It can happen at any time during sex. Sharp pains can be cause by deep thrusting during sexual intercourse.

It's not 'supposed' to happen. Sometimes it does, but that doesn't mean it's supposed to. If it keeps happening, you should probably try to find out what's wrong. Ideally, intercourse should be relatively pain-free. The occasional cramp or what-not isn't a cause for concern, but something that happens a lot, or is very painful isn't right.
