| Red Scrotum, Red around tip of penis, Itchy anus
For the past 7 months i have had a red itchy/ burning scrotum. It is worse at certain times and other times almost normal. About 2 months ago the redness spread to the area around the tip of my penis and a little bit on the shaft as well. Also i have had a nagging itch in my anus. I went to the doctor and he said it is probably a bacterial/fungal infection and gave me a cream called 'Nystatin Cr In Hyderm 1% 50/50' I have been using it for 2.5 weeks and my scrotum is still red however the itching has improved dramatically and sometimes my scrotum is even an almost 'normal' color. However the symptoms are still there and i know as soon as my prescription runs out ill be back to square one.
Does anyone have any advice on what to do? The doctor also assured me that there was no way it could be an std/sti due to the fact that the syptoms have been there for such a long period of time and no STD/STI causes those prolonged, consistant symptoms.
