Paraphimosis

I have this problem and have been using Steroidal cream to try and loosen the tight band in the foreskin behind the Glanis. It looks like I am facing circumcission and was wondering if I have any alternative options to consider.

Re: Paraphimosis

Are you stretching your foreskin in association with the steroid cream? If not, read the sticky headed Stretching To Fix Tight Foreskin (Phimosis) near the top of the Men's Health Message Board.

Yes, I have read most of the dialog posted and have been stretching while in the snower and before going to bed

Re: Paraphimosis

Thanks for your response. Stretching your foreskin might take some time before you see positive results. I don't know how long you have been stretching your skin, so it would be a good idea to continue the stretching exercises in the shower.

I don't understand what you mean, in your original post, by ". . . the tight band in the foreskin behind the Glanis". Does this mean that you can retract your foreskin so that it is behind the rim of the glans? Can you do this while your penis is flaccid, erect or both?

Was the steroid cream prescribed by a doctor?

The tight band is called a Phimotic Ring and I have learned that in some cases, like mine, if you pull this behind the glans and leave it there, it could contract. This is what has happened to me and although my penis is flacid, evan if I try to squeeze it to reduce the blood content, I still cannot pull the foreskin foreward of the glans. I have been seeing a Urologist who prescribed the cream.

Re: Paraphimosis

Thanks for your explanation. I understand that the phimotic ring is so tight that you cannot retract your foreskin behind the corona when your penis is flaccid. Take the advice of your urologist and keep using the steroid cream. Hopefully it will work. If it does not work, your urologist will be able to advise you on the best course of action.
