Hi Introvert and welcome to the boards
Now let me try and answer your question... It's a great introduction to the tools in CBT in a very simplified form. The author was a sufferer of panic, anxiety and depression before CBT cured him and it is written from a sufferers POV. The tools in the book when practiced and applied are the most effective treatments for anxiety of any kind. It's not specific to SAD but the tools it teaches are the same ones used to treat SAD minus the exposure exercises used in SAD. I hope this is helpful.
