Worried about saftey of my neice

An incident happened the other day that i am very concerned about...My SIL (T) stabbed my BIL (A). I will explain the whole story in a second but my main concern is what people think about the safety of my neice who is only 10 months old, and who by the way has been well cared for...but now i'm worried.
Wed night A went looking for T (they had made plans to meet up), after about 2 hours of fighting with her on the phone (her doing not his, he just wanted to know where to meet her). They had both been drinking also, i'm not sure how much. They started off the night fighting...i have heard 2 diff stories as to what happened...they were fighting and she hit him but he didn't hit her, and i have heard that she was hitting him but he wasn't hitting her. Either way one of them should have left. My other SIL (H), got cussed out and almost beaten up by T for no reason, H isn't the type to start or continue a fight with anybody, she was only there to be a drive for A who couldn't drive, has no license. While H was there T tried to run A over with her car....and H was terrified of her and was scared she was going to be injured, she got in her car and didn't get out and after a bit just left. Well, aparently after H left they started to make up (they've broken up several times and gotten back together), as far as A was concerned they were on the road to recovery. When T was driving him home they stoped on the side of the road a few houses down from where A lives with H and his parents....they were talking and A asked for a hug...well, she gave him a hug then stabbed him in the back...literaly...she proceded to hold down the horn (H could hear this from home)and tell A that if he called the police she would have him back in jail. (he's had a rough past...he used to break in to buisnesses and steal things...he's been clean and has been law abiding for 2-3 years now, but is still distrustful of the police because he was arrested several times for crimes he didn't commit). In the hospital he told doctors that he fell and landed on something, but he didn't know what...his father later told the doctors that he was stabbed..i am not sure whether the doctors called the police or not as he was in surgery a good part of yesterday...thank god he's got no serious injuries, nothing was puncured.
Several things bother me, She went back home to get the knife at some point in the evening, meaning she planned it and it wasn't a spir of the moment kind of thing, she tried to run A over, and had also tried to run a bf over in the past, she has a victim complex, meaning nothing is ever her fault, i've asked her about things in the past that she was said to have done and it's never he fault, she carries grudges for weeks sometimes, over silly things, she resents A for just about everything he does, and the parts that bother me about her mothering skills are that he baby at about 8 months old started becoming very attached, as normal 8 months do. and she started being almost resentful towards her...oh isn't that terrible she'd say, she always made comments, and when the baby would try to get something out of reach she'd try to climb up her mother and T interpreted this as the baby trying to hurt her and asked me what she should do about it..i said she's just trying to reach things so you do nothing....i dunno, with this latest incident i am really worried, up untill now there were just several things that seemed odd but now i don't know if the baby is in danger, can someone who acts this way really be agood mother, could she just be putting on a show for the family? The whole family is at odds as to whether or not childrens aid should be called (cps in the us). I believe A's grandmother may have already contacted children's aid. I didn't sleep at all last night and am very worried, this is someone i considered a friend and did not see this coming...at this point we have only heard A's side of is and not T's, but as far as i know nobody is interested to....but as far as i know she hasn't even tried to show any remorse (she'd probably just blame it all on A anyway) or find out how he's doing. I just don't know what to say or do....i am so worried about the whole situation and this poor baby stuck in the middle. Any advise or experiences are welcome....

Re: Worried about saftey of my neice

Yes Mandy,

Call childrens aid or even the police. T is acting very aggressive, to run over somebody and stab them. They probably can even find the knife and her prints on it. This is not the kind of stable home a child should be in. There are plenty of concerned family members in your post, this is even more compelling to do something. The child most likely will be placed with a family member while T and A get things straightened out and especially T's behavior.
