| Re: I feel so guilty for my behavior
Hi there
Isnt it amazing how our children can help us to see things so
clearly. All parents make mistakes it's how we handle them that
our children will learn to handle their own, so you can relax
knowing you're actually teaching your children an important lesson
right now. Dont let them think anger is bad let them know there are
better ways to deal with it and you're going to learn how. I once read of a
family that never allowed their children to see their mistakes they were
the perfect parent in their childs eyes. Their child committed suiside
because he wasnt perfect like his parents and didnt know how to handle
lifes problems.
Your desire to change is the first step and most important step. Now
it's a matter of determining what would be most help for you. Whether
it be individual counseling, a parent class, antidepressant, reading books
on anger, parenting etc. It's trial and error, sometimes a combo of a few
things but hang in there you're already on the right path. K
