| Re: please help
Chester, I hope you read this since it is so many days since your first post. My advice would be to see a counselor. I was always an anxious kid. When I grew up I remained anxious. Anxiety and depression came on badly after my daughter was born. Anxiety and depression can sometimes be caused by hormonal disturbances. When I was in my late thirties, I began with horrible anxiety and panic attacks. It took eight years, but was eventually diagnosed as hyperthyroidism...again, a hormonal imbalance of a kind. Anxiety over anxiety creates and even heightened state of anxiety, and odd thoughts can be one of the symptoms. Hormonal imbalances can also affect the way you think. You will not be put into a mental institution because of your thoughts. A good counselor will help put your mind at ease. You are probably not suffereing from anything any weirder than some of the things I have experienced, and now that I am going throught menopause, I am in for another ride. But, I raised a beautiful healthy daughter, and have a wonderful marriage. Try to calm down and be kind to yourself. There is a quote I read once online that has always stuck with me....."Thought happens." Hope I was able to give you a little bit of support. Good luck, and try to enjoy your children. You would be surprised how a little diversion can help with anxious thoughts.
