Depression and OCD Meds - Mental Health Message Board

Hi there,

My doctor recently increased the dosage on my medication (generic form of Serzone to 250 mg and wants me to go to 300 mg), but the med is making me feel "out there" and "spacey feeling". I have tried several meds for depression and OCD, but the ones I have tried don't seem to work. He has me on Lamictal 100 mg and Serzone 250 mg and Lorazapem as needed. I feel like he is medicating me too much. I am also feeling very moody and on edge a lot since starting Serzone. Ugh! I don't know what to do!

i dont think you are being over medicated, sometimes new meds make us spaced out until we get used to them? maybe you could ask your doc to lower the dose a bit then work up gradually? i take 300mg lamotrigine (lamictal) 160 mg propranolol 20mg citralopram and 20mg amitripyline i also take the occasional diazepam. i used to be spaced out when i started on a few of these tablets but now i dont feel anything. i feel you should wean yourself onto tablets as you would wean off them. i hope im helping any? im never good at using words good luck x
