Need a shoulder

I guess i just don't know where to turn i need to vent that's for sure. I have special needs children and one who is oppositional with behaviors that i try to get through the day dealing with. I don't have family who is supportive so i don't really get much of a break and only time i do is when my husband watches the children and i go out to the store or for icecream for instance.

So I think i am an emotional eater, when i am stressed i eat. I want to lose some weight i have gained and i am usually on the right track then something happens i have stress and back to eating again. I am on Welbutrin XL 300mg, since being on that i believe i gained 50lbs or so. I don't know if it is the medicine that makes me have these cravings or it is the stress i am under.
My husband is a wonderful man but at the same time has a short attention span and also gets in lots of moods. He loves to watch t.v. and play video games while i do a lot of the work around the house. Now i know that's my job but sometimes i wish someone would ask me if i need a break i guess. I am not saying my husband does "nothing" cause he does some things for me to help but i don't know. He isn't very social so we don't hang out with many people and we don't have support for our children from our parents/relative to even take a night out to ourselves.
I really want to speak to a counselor but the payments get expensive. I know my health is more important and not saying i won't ever go speak to someone but we arent the richest people either. I just want to feel better. Other antidepressants i have had bad side effects from and this Welbutrin i think causes some of the cravings, but not sure. My child may have ADHD and he has the worst behaviors for me, he wont even look at me at times, worst temper tantrums. In public of course my child can hold it together with the behaviors making everyone feel bad for him. I try my best for him and it seems like i fail when he treats me this way. My husband also we think has ADHD but never diagnosed.

Re: Need a shoulder

Hello tiny,

It appears that you need to take some time out of the day for you.

Whether it be a hot bubble bath, reading a good book ,watching a favorite movie or going for a walk/jog.

The time will give you the opportunity to collect your thoughts,

Take care.

Respectfully,

Phoenix

Re: Need a shoulder

yes i agree i do need some time for myself. The thing that comforts me though is food. I guess i am an emotional eater that's what i wish could change. I want to lose weight but i love to eat cause it makes me feel better.
