I am a 33 year old male.

About 2 years ago, I had a delusion that I was going to be bashed.

I begged the people not to bash me, but they played a joke on me and said they would. This caused me to have a severe psychotic episode.

I thought I was being filmed, the police were following me, people were bugging my phone calls, everyone was a suspect..I thought i was famous etc.
I really thought I was going to be harmed.

I have never heard voices, ever.

About 4 1/2 months later, I worked out it was a joke and the episode ended.

Then I had another episode.

About eight months later I went and saw a doctor, and they started me on anti psychotic drugs, I have lived a very normal life since starting the drugs.
I have had no relapse of the symptoms.


Is this paranoid schizoprenia or a psychotic episode caused by a reaction to a stressful event?

I asked my doctor and he said I dont have schizoprenia.

How long does it take to diagnose schizoprenia?

Do people stay on antipsychotics for life?

I am on solian, amisulphide. fantastic stuff.
