I think I'm a sociopath - Mental Health Message Board

I know its horrible to say but I just feel like that might be the problem with me. I don't feel love towards anyone, I don't feel bad when I'm mean to anyone. I feel like I'm really good at lying and do it constantly, I steal, manipulate people, and feel fine with it. I just don't feel close to people, although I guess I have lots of "friends". I don't have a best friend if that means anything. Any advice or anything is greatly appreciated.

Have you ever killed a pet out of pleasure? or just for the pleasure of doing it? If no then You probably have some sort of anti social disorder but prob not sociopath. However, if it has become a problem for you then you should consult with a psychiatrist to determine what is going on and why. It may be a relief to know more don't you think?

It would seem to me that one of the things about being a sociopath is that it wouldn't bother you that you're a sociopath.

So the fact that you're worried about it makes me think that you're not one. I mean if you have no conscience, then why is your conscience bothering you, in other words.

On the other hand sociopaths are known to try to manipulate others to get sympathy, so if that's why you made this post, maybe you are. But then you'd probably already know it then.
