Arrow Long term memory and schizophrenia

I was wondering if anyone has an understanding of long term memory in schizophrenics... like is it possible for a schizophrenic to suddenly be able to recall something in the past that they couldn't recall before? Like, can a "trigger" cause them to accuratly recall details from the past? Thanks!

Re: Long term memory and schizophrenia

Everyone has memories that are "forgotten" that can be triggered by certain things. This is a universal human trait.

Hi, I was diagnosed with Schizophrenia in 1994, short and long term memory is easy for me at the moment as i take a supplement called Melatonin it regulates my sleep pattern (circadian rhythm) I can recall long term and short term very quickly but only because of the Melatonin.
