you see im 13, there is this girl i like and she is getting mad cuz i dont talkk to her.. her friends say she will like me if i talk to her, every time i try to i cant say anything i kinda just freeze i guess.. plz help me i love this girl and loved her ever since i met her im just too shy i need help!lol well please respond it will help me a lot thanks bye

I wish there had been more young men like you when I was growing up. Most guys seemed so loud and pushy.
I just know that either this girl or another is looking for a guy just like you, just the way you are.

Here are some things you might try:
I'll bet you have a great smile. Be sure to smile when you see her. "Hi" is pretty easy, most girls will say Hi right back. The only thing you have to do next is come up with a question that can't be answered Yes or No. Then SHE has to do some talking!
And have you noticed how humor works for alot of people?

Another idea is to ask if she has an e-mail address. It's alot easier to type out a few sentences when you're still pretty nervous face to face.

One thing that would have worked in a heartbeat for me would have been if a shy type guy would say something like this to me... "I am so shy I can't believe it!" That would make me want to help!

The odds are good that you will look back on this memory of this girl one day, when you're 23 or 24 and know that she was your first step in gaining confidence.
You sound wonderful to me - Just be who you are, don't worry about being the guy you think this girl wants you to be. Who knows, if you look around you may see a girl who is more shy than you are, and YOU can help HER!!

God, it's really refreshing to hear a guy like you! I know the shyness can seem paralizing, but it's FAR more attractive than bravado and macho sh*t. It's like when you go swimming in the ocean and it's really cold. You want to swim, but you're afraid of the cold. The only way to do it is to take the plunge. As a woman, I can tell you that shyness is attractive ina guy. She obviously likes you, so she's not going to laugh at you or anything. She'll be so flattered that you made the effort to approach her. Just a simple 'Hi, how are you?' will get you started. Remember, there's two people involved in the conversation- She'll talk too, it's not all up to you!
