Hi. I remember a post from you on another forum. I posted something on there, but it was about a week after your original post and I'm not sure if you ever got to see it. I thought that it might give some possible insight into what you are experiencing now. JIC, Here's a copy of what I posted:

I know it's been a week and I hope you guys are feeling better, but I just saw this post and I bet anything that what you and your fiance had was Giardiasis, commonly called "Beaver Fever" (I know that sounds like a joke name, but it's real). Among other things, it is commonly caused by organisms found in beaver feces which contaminate the surrounding water. It usually lasts anywhere from 1-3 weeks but in some cases can become a chronic problem. It can usually be treated successfully with antibiotics, although sometimes you don't necessarily need them. If you guys haven't seen a doctor yet and are still feeling bad, it would probably be a good idea to get checked. Take care.
