I have been on 10mg of celexa for a week now. I am going to raise it to 20mg. In your personal experience, what is the best way to do this to get the least side effects? Take it in the morning or in the evening. I have been taking the 10mg this week in the morning but I know the 20mg will be stronger and I may have more side effects. (right?) I am trying all I can to not scare myself away from the medicine with side effects before I even get the medicine to work for me! I have also heard of people splitting the 20mg and taking half in the morning and half in the evening. Anyone have any ideas what would be best? Thanks for your help.
I have been on Celexa for over a year now and it is wonderful! I take it all in the morning because if you take it at night it can make your sleep less restful. I've had no side effects. Good Luck!

I would take it in the morning. I did not have side effects on 10mg or 20 mg of Celexa, but it did not work for me. I tried 30 mg of Celexa and I got very agitated. I would suggest taking 20 mg and 10 mg alternately for about 6 or 8 days, and then try the 20 mg. It may allieve your fears and side effects, if any. Good luck. I hope it works well for you.
I used to take Celexa. I was on 20mgs, then went to 10mgs when I started weening off. I had no problems with side effects and no problems when I started weening off. Celexa was a wonder drug for me and it helped me a lot.
I would just up your dose and keep taking it at the same times you were taking the original dose. It'll probably prove to be the least disruptive.
I took it in the morning with no problem. I too started on 10 mg. If you feel better, you can cut a piece off to get it to about 15 mg for 3 or 4 days and then go to 20 mg. I had agitation on 30 mg, but no side effects on 20 mg or less. I hope it works well for you.
