Along with meds., it's good idea to take some sort of excercise, i.e. Yoga and even walking around few blocks on daily basis.
Also, some of M.I. folks giving a credit to listening music that offerring you calming and peaceful feelings to lift moods.
Besides those above, talk-therapy would certainly help.
