My brain is being scraped

I am extremely bothered by scraping noises, such as: forks scraping on plates, chalk writing on a chalkboard, my cats claws scraping on the walls (I don't know why they do this...), branches scraping against a window in the wind... pretty much anything scraping against anything that creates a sort of high pitched sound. It especially bothers me if it's my own fingernails scraping against something. Then it's not only a noise, but also a sensation.

Many people might be bothered by these noises for a second, but I am bothered for a long time. My first reaction is a shudder, and feeling of coldness through my body. The coldness continues long after the initial shudder. I cringe and cover my ears - up to several times as the memory of the scraping stays in my head. For example, my cat scratched her claw against the wall about 20 minutes ago, and I am still having the cold feeling and cringing every so often.

It feels like my brain is being scraped, and then the sound stays in my head. What is wrong with me?

Re: My brain is being scraped

If all of those common/normal noises easily bothering you, you might experiencing hallucination. Any noises triggers halluciation if you have one.

One of my aunts have 'visual halluciation,' saying like 'someone is in the garage' even though there is no one in there. For that, she's been on the med., it works good on her.

If that's the case, 'hallucination,' you might need to make an appointment with psychiarist for proper medication to alleviate the symptom.
