Someone give me answers to what I'm feeling.

Hi. This is my first post.
I'm 18 and over the past year iv had a hard time.
I'm on plain average depresants and have councling once every two weeks, (used to have it 3 times a week)

I find everything a big effort (I know, first impressions are that I'm a lazy teenager) I literaly am tierd all the time, when I energetic it's as if it's forced apon. I have odd feelings where I think the world is not real or it's a play that everyone is acting. I have other odd feelings of complete depression where I think I hav the worst life, this swaps beetween paranoia aswell. My sleep is generally good apart from hallucinating when I'm stressed (it's more frequent recently) I see people in my room at night standing over me. Sometimes scary.

Can someone explain what I'm feeling and wether its normal?
Thanks x

Hello Goldfish123.

The tiredness, lack of energy and absence of interest in doing things may be caused by depression. The hallucinations and paranoia may be indicators of schizophrenia. Do you find the anti-depressants and counseling to be beneficial to you? And have you talked to your counselor about these symptoms you are experiencing?

Re: Someone give me answers to what I'm feeling.

My councler is very helpfull. Iv allways hallucinated sinse I was younger, but in the past year they hav got worse. Only at night though. My councler told me to research into 'night terrors'.
Depresants I wouldn't say help, they give me false feelings. Somedays I just feel like a robot.
X

Re: Someone give me answers to what I'm feeling.

Are you taking any medication for the hallucinations? And have you tried a variety of anti-depressants to see if one works for you better than the others?

I would suggest talking to your counselor about coping strategies you could use for handling your stress and depression. I would also suggest talking to your doctor about changing your medication since your medication isn't really helping you feel better.

Re: Someone give me answers to what I'm feeling.

Thanks. Well I have councling wednesday.
For some reason ATM moment my sleeping has got worse. I had a dream I was trying to cut myself with my scissors (I'm a hairdresser) wen I got up in the morning my scissors where out of my bag and around my room. Little bit concerned because I'm scared for what extreme my sleep is becoming.

I'm going to book a drs appointment and ask for a change in medication.
Thankyou for your advice :-)
