Post what are the symptoms
my husband had chest xrays in thye hospital after a minor stroke they found a nodule then about a week after discharge they did some cat scans of the thorax now he has also had hoarsness in his voice for over a month now can theses be signs of lung cancer he has been smoking for over 60 years he is almost 70 also has chf, emphysema and asbestosis of the lung any help is appreciated.

Asbestosis is a red flag by itself, in addition to the smoking. Inhalation of asbestos can cause lung cancer and mesothelioma, a cancer of the lining of the chest and abdomen lining. Chronic breathing in of asbestos would certainly cause at least lung irritation. Hopefully it is just a nodule, and can be treated early and effectively.

well we finally got the results of the cat scan in addition to the asbestosis that he has had for about 4 years he also has pulmonary fibrosis and atelesias
