| Diagnosis of Mesothelioma
Hi all,
I am helping do research for my uncle, who may possibly have Mesothelioma.
For many years, he worked a job that exposed him (knowingly) to asbestos.
In the past year or so, he has lost significantly more weight than 10% and has constant back pain, at times nearly debilitating.
The doctor he has gone to hasput him through the usual (or so i've read) CT scan, respiratory testing, etc, yet nothing has been detected yet.
My questions are - has anyone suspected they've had Mesothelioma, only to find out that it is something else, similar? And how was that detected? Has anyone gone through all of the testing only to find out years later that is was, in fact, Mesothelioma - perhaps it does not show up? What are other reasons that he could be experiencing these problems? And finally, is there anyone particularly in the Northeast Ohio area that has a past in this and has a doctor or medical facility to suggest?
