Hi yes he can go to the hospital right away they have a vacuum suction tube to connect to him so he can survive better. My relative had one from a needle puncture that happened with the insertion of the needle into the aorta into the lung from trying to put a chemotherapy port in. They put her on the vacuum tube. She struggled to breathe through the night but survived just fine and is now still alive almost 9 years later.
