medical discharge army

my son has just finished army basic and done very well so why would he be told that he is being discharged for having a condition called atopical eczema

Cossy.....They probably feel his "flareups" would interfere with his ability to perform his duties. Soldiers are deployed to areas where this sort of ailment would be aggravated by anything from the uniform to food to dusty, dirty conditions. I know it's disappointing for him but perhaps he can find another way to serve his country.
