My husband was in the gulf was and he experiences things like extreme joint pain, and horrible nightmares from which he wakes up in a cold sweat from. We have attributed those to GWS. Is this a possibility? He has been to the local VA hospital and recieved a letter stating that IF there was such a thing as GWS he would have it, BUT since congress has not recognized it as a malady that should be treated by the VA it doesn't exist. Also our daughter was born in January with a massive heart defect and Downs syndrome, is there any research being done to attribute Downs to GWS? Any info would be appreciated.

My husband was also in Dsrt Strm. My Triple screen test came back as high risk for Down's Syndrome on my second child. He was fine at birth and then developed a hearing disorder. He is currently five and in the process of being tested for other genetic disabilities due to his delayed development. My oldest child is 6 and has motor coordination problems and some behavioral problems. Both are being tested for ADHD. My prayers are with you.

i was an air force bomb loader during the gulf war, and since i got home i have been suffering from a whole array of symptoms, from crushing headaches, asthma, insomnia, pain, and depression...i went to the VA for help, but after having to beg a skeptical doctor for an asthma inhaler, i felt that they had nothing to offer in terms of help...i just resigned myself to the pain...luckily, my stepmother, who is a nurse suggested that i try colloidal silver for my symptoms...i was naturally skeptical, having never even heard of colloidal silver, but at my wife's insistence, we made a trip to visit my dad and stepmom...after drinking silver 3 times a day for 3 days, i woke up with no headache for the first time in years...i could breath much better also, and felt like myself again...since that time, i have purchased a silver machine and make it and drink it every day...my asthma, headaches, and insomnia have been kept at bay for more than two years now...i just recently had a daughter born, and i was deathly afraid that she would be born with defects, but thankfully she is healthy and beautiful...please try colloidal silver if you or someone you know is suffering from gws...silver is available at many health food stores, and machines are available online...good luck everybody, i pray this helps others

My husband is also a Gulf War Vet and we have 2 girls our 1st daughter was born in 93 with a heart disease that is Epstein Anomally then was still very sick sent to several specialist and found at 9 months old to have an Immune disease called hyppogammagloblinanemia and she is in the hospital every 3 weeks for 2 day to receive her treatment which is gammagloulin therepy. She has since been diagnosed with Crohns. Our youngest daughter has transient Immune disease and is tested once a year but is not currently taking any treatments.We fell this is definatly related to the GW but we dont have any support from our Military.But with Gods help and support we make it through each day.
