pain after DNC - Miscarriage & Still Birth Message Board

I had a DNC 9 days ago. The past two days I've had some pain in my abdomen (not very sharp) when I laugh or blow my nose or bend over. I don't want to go crying to my OB (especially when we're alreayd paying through the teeth for doctor bills). Is this normal? Someoen who's had a DNC, please advise.

I had my D&C done 9 days ago also and I feel fine. I am hardly bleeding anymore or anything, I would definetely atleast call and tell your doctor whats going on just to make sure it is no reason for concern.

I agree. You should have it checked out. If you have pain it could mean there is possible scarring. If you do have scarring, it may be difficult or not possible to get pregnant again. Definately have it checked.

well, i started bleeding again too, so i called my doctor, just to be sure. he said it's normal... not to worry unless the pain becomes really severe or if the bleeding is heavy. that's a relief. took the worry off my mind. the pain is very mild, more like a bruise inside that only hurts if touched, maybe that's what it is.
