I'm a 16 year old girl and I really need advice.

I really need advice. I was sexually active with my past boyfriend, but it was safe, we used pills and condoms, but then there was an "accident". First off, my mother knew that I was having sex, and so did his parents, and it was cool with everyone. Well, after the "accident" about two weeks after that I started getting really dizzy, and feeling insanely weird, and I started putting on weight, which is crazy, because I've been the same size since I was twelve (besides breast development etc..whatever...) Then I started throwing up for absolutely no reason. I've been too scared to get the test, because of the finality of it. Then my mom started noticing my strange behaviors, but, due to fright, I did not confess my worries, and passed it all off as food poisoning. But I honestly knew that I was pregnant, so I broke up with my boyfriend, and now he lives in another state (he's 16 too And I couldn't bare to ruin his life as well as mine.) Well, last night I was getting washed up for bed, and I was giving off discharge. However, it was brown, and I had never seen anything like in before. I wanted to call for my mom, but she is in Texas. I called her phone this morning, but it's been turned off. The only people I have to confide in or seek advice from is my step-father, or my senile grandfather. I don't know what to do, or where to go from here? What is going on with my body?!

Well, the spotting could have been bleeding from when an embryo attaches to your uterus. You really need to go get it a test you can get them at almost any drug store or even from planned parent hood. This way you can get the care you need as soon as possible. Also you need to tell your boyfriend, it is not all your fault. If your are pregnant he needs to take responsibilty you can't get pregnant on your own and he had to of know that pregnancy can be the outcome of sex no matter how carefull you are. Besides he might actually really like to know. If you are pregnant it does not have to ruin your life it sounds as though both of your parents are supportive of you and they can help. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Okay sweetie for one you need to be tested and for two you dont have to go through this alone.. It takes two people to make a baby and a baby needs them both... I think that you should tell your b/f asap... He not only should know about it but has a right too. You can go to a local health dept or planned parenthood clinic for a free test.. You need to go asap so you can start pre natal vitamins and see an Gynecologist ect ect to make sure you and the baby stay healthy... I know now you think its going to ruin your life but remember everything happens for a reason.... Good Luck and keep us posted......

Re: I'm a 16 year old girl and I really need advice.

There are many things that can cause the symptoms you describe...not just pregnancy. Whether it's pregnancy or not it is extremely important that you see a doctor.

Planned parenthood and the health department will tell you if you're pregnant or not but they cannot offer much in the way of medical advice. They will only refer you on to a doctor. So to save yourself a step you may want to just go to the doctor (a walk in clinic may be appropriate take your step-father with you since you'll most likely need an adult; if you don't want to explain it to him you don't have to just tell him to please take you in and that you're having "female" problems).

I'm so sorry you're going through all of this. It is very rough. I hope you're able to get a hold of your mom soon (I'm so glad that you have her support and are able to talk with her!).

Love and Prayers, Kelly

Re: I'm a 16 year old girl and I really need advice.

after reading your post you sound so worried and alone, perhaps it may be helpful if you found a friend or your b/f to confide in. It may be helpful to have their support in attending your doctors to be examined although there could be many things wrong you need to find out whats happening, it is often the not knowing that is more scarey as when you know what is going on then you can deal with it. You don't say when you last had sex or when your last period was to figure out if you could be pregnant.
i don't want to sound patronising but lots of things happen to us growing up sometimes sad and painful things and although they are not fair with support of the people who love you, you can move on. Good luck hope things feel better for you soon, thinking of you.
