Re: How To Tell If Its Stillborn

If you mean while you are in labor...they hook you up to monitors that keep track of your babys heartbeat and your contractions..there for if they couldn't find your babys heartbeat they would more then likely do an ultrasound to see whats goin on or rush you for an emergency csection! If you would ever have a problem (no movement of the baby, no heartbeat at a dr's visit, bleeding, etc..) exsist they usually hook you up to monitors or do an ultrasound and sometimes both!

Angry Re: How To Tell If Its Stillborn

They can't tell unless they do a ultrasound but I had a stillbirth child at 26 weeks and it was only because my water broke less then an hour before I gave birth I was hooked up to a monitor and I heard a normal heart beat from him. The doctor told me since my water broke there was nothing he could do and he induced labor. He said my child would either be stillborn or try to breath a couple of times and then die in my arms.

Re: How To Tell If Its Stillborn

We found out my baby had died in womb from not hearing the heartbeat on the doppler and then they did the ultrasound & the could not see the heartbeat. They sent me over to the hospital for a second opinion & they confirmed. If you don't feel your baby is moving as much CALL YOUR DOCTOR. BE IN THEIR FACE. I told the nurse at my dr office that she wasn't moving much & she said they slow down close to delivery time, and to drink some oj and lie on my side and count fetal movements. I had a feeling something was wrong or was going to be wrong and I was right. Listen to yourself listen to your gut. If more dr listened to their patients maybe less babies would die.
