how long does it take for hcg levels to drop after a miscarriage?

When I had my m/c it took about a week but I was only a few weeks along. Have you gone back to your dr for a follow up?

I've only had two miscarriages where my hcg levels were drawn. I was 4 1/2 weeks along with one of them and after two weeks my levels were still at a 7 (below 5 is normal); 6 weeks later they were normal.

I just had hcg levels done again at 6 weeks post miscarriage (I was 6 weeks along) and my HCG levels are still 14 so I have to go in again next week.

It's different for every person and every miscarriage. My doctor was a little concerned that they're not normal at this point so I'm assuming I've passed the point of "typical". Not sure why he's concerned though.
